Seed Beads.

Here's a photo of my Pappaw back in the day! He was a looker wasn't he? I stole this from his younger brother, Albert's facebook page. Shhh . . . don't tell.

I was so glad to meet Pappaw's two younger brothers. They are like younger copies of Paul. Same laugh, same stories (although they claim theirs are true), and same eccentric jobs and lifestyle. I love it.

Albert only lives 45 or so minutes away from Lipscomb. I plan on visiting him and his cute Chinese wife Ying. She is adorable.

Exciting news! Rebecca, Alayna, and I are the three senior girls in the homecoming court. Woo!

I started working on my chandelier . . . it's proving to be a larger project than I expected. I bought the metal part of a lamp shade minus the shade part. I'm stringing beads of all sorts on it, there will be peacock feathers, and some other assorted things.

That's about all I have to report on. Over and out.

Love you hun.

No photo again, I'm having a hard time keeping up. Oh well.

My Pappaw, the wonderful Paul Chappell passed away yesterday early in the morning. It's been a battle for a long while. He was an awesome man. If my Mammaw hadn't met him then they would not have moved down to Dallas, my dad would not have met my mother and then I would not be in existence. I suppose I owe that man a lot.

He had the most amazing deep laugh. His voice sounded exactly like the dad in Big Fish, he told stories like him too. Sometimes I had a hard time believing the stories, but I'm sure they were either inspired by or weaved from the truth.

There's going to be a lot of hearts missing this man. He was just such a great guy.

Well, today was a 2 hour delay but now school beckons.

Tazo Vanilla Rooibos

Snow day again today and tomorrow.

I'm never going to graduate at this rate . . .

I've got a cold and it's a snow day so I vowed not to do anything today besides pile a ton of blankets on my floor, watch many episodes of Bones, flip through my crafting books, and single handedly killed the ecosystem with the amount of tissues I used. I don't feel like moving my body from the three by six foot area of comfy I have created on my floor.

And, I'm going to knock myself out with some amazing Nyquil in a bit.

You know what kind of gross me out? Milk Duds. I got some for Christmas and I tried to pretend I like them, but I really don't. Sorry, dad. The open box is still on my nightstand . . . pretending that they are going to be eaten.

I ordered the prettiest dress for Valentine's Semi-Formal. (Pictured above!) Mind you, it was more than I was willing to pay but I had a gift card so I feel like I got it for free. Nordstrom formal and semi-formal dresses are pretty much the best. I got my prom dress from Nordstrom last year.

Welp, that's all I have to report on.

Rumor in St. Petersburg

I really am trying to keep up with this thing.

So here's a report on some exciting things you have missed:

1. Two snow days

2. Went sledding at the Burris farm which consists of Ben tieing a sled to the four-wheeler and pulling us (only the best way to sled I've learned, probably the most painful also). Grandma loaded us up with hot chocolate also, pretty important.

3. I've fallen down my stairs twice this week. The first time was a sort of tumble and roll and bust the door open with my body, the second was a bumping/sliding all the way down the stairs. The second was suprisingly much more painful.

4. I've started painting a canvas for the youth office for Gary. Pretty pumped about it.

5. I finished knitting the most adorably ugly hat in the history of the world.

6. I watched The Duchess with Lizzy tonight (Sunday nights are our regular movie/t.v./food hangout time). It was amazing and really depressing at the same time, so I turned on Anastasia to make me happy.

7. Went to watch Sophie with Lindsay and Rebecca on Saturday night. Sophia might be one of the most adorable two-year olds on the face of the whole planet. P.s. she told us the Rebecca's name is Hiney. Win.

8. I got a dress for tacky homecoming that has the poofiest sleeves ever and is the most awful shade of light pink. I am completing the look with thick heeled shoes of the exact same tacky color. I look like the bride's maid from a Lifetime movie in the 80's.

The End.

Oh! Possum.

See that photo? Yeah, that is a good example of what I encountered on my backporch Sunday night.

Lizzy and I were walking out the back door of my house and I leaned to down to pet what I thought was Tricky (the cat we share with our neighbors). . . . to my suprise it was a flipping possum.

I screamed like a mad person and tried to slam the door, but I couldn't because Lizzy was right behind me, so she's freaking out because I'm freaking out.

Sunday I drove in a funeral procession for the first time for Beth's grandpa's funeral. Gary said it made me grown-up. I think it just made me sad.

This past weekend was Renovate, and it was quite awesome.

Favorite moments:

1. Jesus Painter- Mike Lewis
2. Quoting SNL with the Arthur kids
3. Eating at Chilli's with an amazing group of people
4. Watching a kid win a cardboard cut out of Justin Beiber only to rip its head off. (Insert clapping here).

Today is a snow day. We are going to graduate in July if this keeps up . . . and I'm not okay with that.

Jack Hodgins Rocks.

Hey Happy Not 2010 Anymore!

Is it good for you that it's over?

I'm gonna miss it, starting from May 2010.

I'm really pumped about this new year though because it is the year that this kid graduates. Hoorah! Speaking of graduation, tomorrow and Wednesday are my second to last pair of high school finals ever (bahhh, so great).

My Christmas break was really great. I swore my body was being pulled by an invisible source back towards my house when I walked into the double doors at good ol' high school this morning.

I was rather busy the entire break and somehow I still managed to watch the whole first season of Bones and twelve episodes of the second season. That's thirty flipping four episodes of Bones. Can you believe that? My mind must be completely melted. I loved it, though. I don't feel like I missed anything with anyone or was cooped up in the house. Maybe I have super powers.

Eh, that's only slightly likely . . . I haven't been bit by a radioactive spider, my parents are humans, and I'm not aware of having an arch-nemesis.

If I had to have any super power I would want invisiblity. It would be amazing to go places, hear things, see things, and be with people without anyone ever realizing you were there. I would hate to read minds because you would never really know what was going to be thought. People are hard enough to deal with when you don't know their every thought, I don't want the added pressure of knowing every little thing that crosses their mind.
